Background

The client is a medium sized Venture Capitalist with a diverse portfolio of investments. They purchased two specialist financial service companies with the intention of merging same and delivering the synergistic benefits.

However, initial efforts to merge the companies and deliver on the business plan had highlighted weaknesses in the management team.

The client felt that an external resource with strong change management and financial expertise would help shape the new business while they considered changes to the top team.
